What is the PADI Divemaster Internship?

The PADI Divemaster Internship at Oceans 5 Gili Air is a comprehensive three-month program designed to transform experienced divers into confident and skilled divemasters. This course is the first step in becoming a professional diver and allows candidates to work closely with experienced PADI Instructors, assisting in training sessions, guiding certified divers, and gaining invaluable real-world diving experience.

Oceans 5 Gili Air integrates environmental awareness into all its divemaster training components, ensuring that participants not only develop their diving and leadership skills but also cultivate a strong sense of responsibility toward marine conservation.

Eligibility Requirements

To apply for the free PADI Divemaster Internship, candidates must meet the following requirements:

1. Indonesian Citizenship – The program is exclusively for Indonesian nationals who are passionate about the ocean and diving.

2. Minimum Age of 18 Years – Candidates must be at least 18 years old to participate.

3. PADI Rescue Diver Certification – Applicants must have completed the PADI Rescue Diver course, demonstrating their ability to handle diving emergencies and assist other divers effectively.

4. A Minimum of 40 Logged Dives – Candidates should have at least 40 dives recorded in their dive log to ensure they have sufficient underwater experience to begin their professional training.

What is Included in the Internship?

The internship provides a full three-month professional divemaster training program at no cost. Candidates will receive:

• High-quality training under the guidance of the only Platinum PADI Course Director on Gili Air.

What is Not Included?

While the training is free, candidates will need to cover the following expenses:

1. PADI Digital Divemaster E-Learning Crew Pack – This digital learning material is required for the course and must be purchased separately.

2. PADI Divemaster Fee – This fee is paid directly to PADI for certification processing.

3. Accommodation – Candidates are responsible for arranging their own accommodation during the internship. However, Oceans 5 can assist with recommendations for affordable housing options on Gili Air.
